The temptation to reinvent the wheel
It can be very frustrating when we are ready for change and it’s not happening yet - we may fall into a very common trap ; trying to reinvent the wheel. I think as humans we all fall into the trap of thinking if we want real change we need to come up with a complex , multi step solution to said situation. I would argue that’s the last thing we need - what tends to work better is keep doing what works, refine , and make edits as needed.
In the case of moving our house from dysthymia to euthymia the first question I would ask myself is have I been in this situation before. If the answer is yes I would follow up by asking what helped me get out of this scenario last time. That’s where I would start , rather than trying to come up with a whole new way of approaching things.
