We’ve all heard the quote - (many of us have used it in a conversation to prove a point we were eager to make ).. turns out that’s not the whole quote - The full phrase goes like this: Jack of all trades master of none, though often times better than master of one.
I think there is infinite wisdom in knowing when we are in over our heads (I’m speaking specifically when it comes to house things). However I also thing it’s equally as important to know basic maintenance/ care / repair for basic household items as part of being someone who is basically the custodian to our home. We don’t need to be a professional carpet cleaner in order to spot clean our rug if we stain it. We don’t have to be a professional chef to make a simple meal in the kitchen. I do think there is wisdom in learning a few different tricks to help care for our space- I know your home will thank you for all the care and love that goes into these mundane tasks.
Love this and reading your daily journals… love the end of this quote xo
